If you love to travel, you understand that adventure is always calling. What new place will you explore next? What adventure is waiting just around the corner? While you bide your time till the next opportunity arises, you can dream with some travel-inspired art. I’ve partnered with Kimberly of Roxy Heart Vintage to highlight some of her rustic wooden art and to give away one of her travel-inspired art signs:
I found Kimberly’s art while visiting the Beehive Bazaar in Provo, Utah. I just loved the rustic wood and classy designs. And I fell in love with this Volkswagen bus “Adventure Awaits” sign. I was sure you’d like the Roxy Heart Vintage art, too!
Kimberly’s Inspiration
Says Kimberly: “My inspiration came about two years ago as I planned my wedding. I set out to find these amazing items that would match my vision and came up empty handed. It seemed that all the decorations I found were cheap looking or so outdated that I could have sworn they were from the 80’s. I ended up crafting my own wedding cake stand with a rustic damask feel to it and the vision just sort of unfolded from there.
Next I was on to custom hand stamped jewelry and tree slice cake stands. Somewhere amidst the flurry of a wedding which was planned completely on my own, a new business, my current full time job and my slightly neglected fiance, I had managed to keep everything together. The business began as an idea to sell a few things I couldn’t find for my wedding and has flourished into a place where handmade artistic items are found.”

Travel-Inspired Art by Roxy Heart Vintage
Roxy Heart Vintage does custom work, and you can visit the Etsy shop to get inspired. One of the things I really like about their designs is that they use only reclaimed, newly fallen trees. They never cut a live tree! They will also personalize their products, and that means their travel-inspired art (or any of their products!) can make great gifts, too.

I love the “natural” look of this art – the tree slice cake stands are awesome! And the simple paint on wood is attractive for any decor. The VW brought back memories of college! Definitely a time when “adventure awaits”!
