Military Discounts on U.S. Entertainment — so you can save money on museums, theme parks, golfing, sports, skiing, and more.
That is great that there are so many discounts for those in the military. From the hotels, to transport to cruises and rental cars you have put together quite a list.
I really love that there are so many places that give discounts to the US military, it’s a great way to show thanks to those who serve on your behalf. I don’t think we have such a thing here in the UK, sadly.
In Germany service personell can use public transport for free, but I have never heard of family members being included in this. This is such a great initiative!
My hubby is ex-Canadian military. So we are always looking for military discounts. The Canadian airlines do a good job. But hotels not so good. When we travelled from Toronto to Vancouver, we went through the U.S. because we too found that the U.S. military discounts (even for Canadians) were so great. We have used the Sandals military discount too! We will have to look for car discounts the next time we travel in the U.S. Thanks for sharing this!
It’s great that there’s that sense of patriotism. Here in the UK you’ll sometimes see discounts for people who are in the forces, in the fire brigade, police or NHS – but they are rare and nothing like as significant – more of a ‘10% off your pizza’ type of deal
I have friends and family who have served in the military, I’ll have to let them know about these discounts if they don’t already know. I’m glad there are businesses that offer these discounts to members of the armed forces. Thanks for sharing, and I’ll let my friends and family know!
This is a great thanks for the members of the U.S. Military as they sacrificed and still continue to sacrifice a lot for the country. I’m glad to know the different travel discounts they can avail. Thank you for sharing this article!
That is amazing and I think that it is well deserved. The military deserve to have a lot of perks especially when it comes to trips with the family because they were away from their families for a very long time to protect us.
My dad was in the military too (in India, though) and our country also offers several discounts to both serving and retired military personnel and that’s really great because they deserve it. Military personnel and their families don’t have the easiest of lives and showing them some respect for serving their country is a good gesture by the rest of the countrymen, in my opinion. Flights, train travel, hotel bookings, etc. in India show respect in a similar manner as you guys do in the US.
This is very nice post thanks for updating this information. And thanks for your attention to us.
