Sand-Free Beach Towel? You Bet!

This post was most recently updated on July 9th, 2019

Want a beach towel that doesn’t bring the sand home with you? Or a travel towel that doesn’t take up a lot of space in your luggage, but is still absorbent? Maybe you just want it to dry quickly so you can get on your way without soaking everything in your bag.

I recently discovered a new line of towels made by Tesalate and I’d like to introduce you.

A towel with many features

This is a towel that is truly cutting edge — a “smart towel”. It’s made using microfiber technology that absorbs better but allows the sand to slip right off. Because it’s lightweight, you can roll it into a super compact size that easily fits into your beach bag or your carry-on. And guess what? It also dries fast. In fact, it’s engineered to dry in half the time of a regular towel. No more soggy towels. Is there anything else you could ask for? Tesalate’s innovation and exclusive AbsorbLite™ microfiber (80% polyester + 20% polyamide) make this all possible. Towels are full-sized, measuring 160cm x 78cm / 63 x 31 inches.

Many designs to choose from

So with all those benefits, isn’t it just icing on the cake that these towels also come in many beautiful and attractive designs? Which one do you like best? See even more gorgeous designs on the Tesalate website.

More than one purpose

While Tesalate towels repel sand, they are not just for the beach. They’re perfect for yoga, the gym or the pool, and traveling. One of these beautiful towels can also double as a blanket or shawl if a sudden breeze makes you shudder.

Don’t just take my word for it…

People who have used Tesalate towels have wonderful things to say about them. (You can read their reviews here) A few quotes from magazine reviews include:

No more dragging half the beach home as an Australian company has invented a sand-free towel. — Lonely Planet

It works great not only for trips to the beach, but also for yoga mat, a travel towel, a gym towel, as well as anything else you might think of. Besides making great beach trips, these towels will become a permanent fixture in your daily routine. — Business Insider

I would use this on the beach. Currently I try so hard to not let my towel touch the sand. Now I could let it touch and not worry so much about dragging sand into my car and my home.

  2. Christine

I would use it for all my trips in the sand and at the pool. So many possibilities! I would use it to pretend I am on a trip and just lay on it reading a book in my house.

      1. Tammy Anderson

No, only my 3rd. I am a 3 1/2 year newlywed. My husband loves to travel. I am blessed beyond understanding. He has taken me to Ireland (my life long dream), Germany (with day trips to Austria and Switzerland). This trip will be the Netherlands with day trips to Belgium and Luxembourg!!!

  3. Doreen

I would use it for a day trip in sunny San Diego! With three kids the beach load is usually big and heavy – what a treat to have compact, fast drying towels! And to be a mom looking stylish for a change!

  4. Joanne Worrall

I would use my Tesalate towel right here on the beaches of San Diego when my family comes to visit. And then I would have to buy another one to replace the Tesalate towel I KNOW my sister will “borrow”.

  5. LILLIAN BROWN

I would leave in the van as we often end up at a beach when we go for a drive, and if not planned ahead I have no towel to try my wet feet, after wading in the water

  6. Peggy Oakes

I love the looks of the beach towel! It’s beautiful. You can use it anywhere, at the pool, in the backyard reading a book, anywhere you want to be comfortable in the summer time!

  7. Lindsay Doucet

Hmm. I’m not sure when I’ll be at a beach next- likely Florida next February! I love the patterns- I’d love this towel.

  8. Alesha Peters

I live in Victoria so during the summer we are at the beach a lot, ocean and the local lakes. The towel will be perfect for next summer.

  9. Dale Steele Nicolov

I would love to have this.I might keep it for myself but would probably give it to my son as he lives near the beach.

  10. L Wood

I’d use it anywhere I’d usually use my beach towel…vacations, summer at the cottage/beach, local swimming pool, etc etc etc !!

  11. PAT

We moved into a lake community in our city and spend days at the beach in the summer – we would use this towel there. We are also going to Australia in February and will definitely need a beach towel there.

  12. Rocsi

I would use my town in st. Augustine on the fort grass or park or beach.

Later on my travels like at pudding creek beach in Fort Bragg ca.

  13. Jess Alexander

Since I don’t live near a beach, I’d use the towel first as a mat to meditate, then when I go to Europe to study abroad and vacation, I’d use the towel at all the beaches I visit.

  14. clynsg

This would be perfect to wrap around a child coming out of either the bath or the pool–especially the pool, since they love to jump back in and it would be dry by the time they got out again.

  15. Elaine Buonsante

I would use this wonderful beach towel on the beaches of Italy where my husband is from…we visit every couple of years.

  16. Kavita Favelle | Kavey Eats

Love their colours and print designs! Mine would become part of my default packing list for any trip — there’s so often at least one situation where I wish I had a towel with me, especially one that dries fast and doesn’t take up much space!

  17. Shannon

It really works?? Sign me up! I’m actually heading to Mexico in a couple weeks so I’m going to look into this ASAP, thank you.

  18. Lucy

I would use my towel onboard the cruise ship and ashore in Hawaii & French Polynesia. Also as a yoga mat in the cabin or at home. Love the designs and the idea of the towel!

  19. amit

Haha that is one of my pet peeves, bringing sand home, no matter how much you shake your towel out the sand always follows you home. I will defo be looking into this 😀

  20. Lindsey Ferrin

Wow! Gorgeous designs! My tesselate towel wouldn’t ever leave my hands, I’d be too afraid of somebody swiping it.

  21. Jessica C

Great giveaway ! I’d love to use this on my next summer trips to the beach. Thank you for a chance to be entered ! 🙂

  22. Cindy

I would take my towel with me to Hawaii because now I can go to the beach without bringing the beach home with me. I love it!! I’m glad I stumbled upon this. Looking forward to giving it a try.

  23. Paige W

These sound absolutely amazing! The one thing I really hate about visiting the beach is all the sand I bring home, so I would totally use this towel on my upcoming trip to Bali! I love the fun designs!

  24. Kristen

I would take my towel to Englewood Beach again (Florida!) … it was so beautiful and well worth the travel! One down-fall — the SAND IN MY CAR! This towel would be so awesome!

  25. DeeAnn S

I’d use this towel on trips to the shore and lake. It’d be good for laying out in the back yard too! Thanks.

  26. Annmarie W.

Most of the year, I’d use on my own backyard pool deck. But it would come with me, too, on our spring break and also our summer vacation in Ocean City, MD!

  27. Kim Garcia

This towel would be PERFECT for my trip to Maui in January! I love that it’s so light weight and cute. It would also be perfect for those year round beach trips we enjoy here in SD

  28. amber lee kolb

Wow, this is wonderful, thank you so much!! I would use my towel at the beach, in the park for when I read, and at sporting events! I followed both pages on Instagram @kolbamber and commented on the Facebook post.

  29. Arnav Mathur

This sounds interesting. I have a microfibre travel towel, but it doesn’t repel sand. Need to get this on my next beach vacation . Thanks for sharing about such a cool product.
