I learned where the experts go, how to travel light, and how to snag the best deals and the best websites to use to book flights and hotels. We listened to amazing speakers with a wealth of information — who were anxious to share all they knew with us. Speakers like Samantha Brown and Patricia Schultz and Ralph Velasco! I learned how to take better photographs and how get off the beaten path and have more authentic experiences.
But that’s not all! You could practice riding on a segway or climb a rock-climbing wall. This year, you might get to ride on a camel! You can watch dancers from different countries perform…or taste a sampling from a “Taste of Travel” cooking class, talk to tourism board representatives, or even meet the mayor of Escalante, Utah (he was so very kind and hospitable!). If you want to learn everything I learned last year, you can also read my post, Expert Travel Tips. But every year is different, and you’ll learn something new every time you go.
What about the Travel Show GIVEAWAY?!?!

My giveaway ends Thursday, March 2, at 6:00 pm PST and I’ll announce the winner by 10:00 pm PSTÂ March 2. Yep! This is only a two-day giveaway, so hurry up and get your entries in.
If you miss the San Diego Travel Show March 4-5, there are three more travel shows this year. There’s the Denver Travel Show March 18-19, Philadelphia Travel Show March 25-26, and Dallas TravelShow April 1-2. And if you don’t win the free tickets, you can head to Groupon for half-price tickets.
I’m always looking for new places to travel, especially domestically. This would certainly be a great place to discover ideas. I understand Patricia Schultz will be there with her 1000 Places US book. That should be a good start! Would love to get tickets to this show!! Thanks for the opportunity!!
I want to travel to Washington DC. And I’m interested in the “The Taste of Travel” part of the travel show
Awesome! I’d love to travel to London and at the travel show I’d love to watch the live performances!
Sweet! I’d love to travel to Italy (again), especially Lake Como. This travel show looks wonderful; I would be most interested in trying some delicious new foods!
Hi Tammy. Its Gail Sexton. Any suggestions of a comfortable clean hotel in Cedar City Utah? We are bringing back 2 students from Rexburg and looking to stop along the way. I love your blog!
Hi Gail! I haven’t stayed in Cedar City, but I know a great place in St. George, just a little further down the road. It’s the St. George Inn & Suites. We’ve stayed there, and the prices are good, free breakfast is great, and it’s close to the freeway.
