Children’s Clothing for Travel

This post was most recently updated on July 9th, 2019

I want to introduce you to some super cute children’s clothing for travel. This is children’s clothing that is cuter than shorts and a T-shirt…and is comfortable, easy to care for, and versatile. They’re designed by my creative daughter-in-law, BrookeLynne, and sold under the name ImaginAprons on her Etsy shop.

Comfy Cotton Dresses

Perfect for flying or for a road trip, these stylish girls’ dresses can be worn as a tunic over leggings, a swimsuit cover-up on the beach, paired with capris or bike shorts…or worn on their own or with a tie-belt. Some of the ImaginApron dresses even have a travel theme: vintage trailers, maps, French words, nautical symbols, and famous landmarks. What a fun theme for children’s clothing!

Digital Patterns so You Can DIY

The dresses are also pretty simple to make, so ImaginAprons has just introduced digital patterns. If you’re looking for an easy dress to make for spring, the Easter holiday, or Spring Break travels, this might be the perfect choice. And actually, depending on the fabrics you choose, this is a dress pattern that could easily be adapted for special events, or even Halloween costumes! The best part about this digital pattern? It can be used with fat quarters! The Size 2T Little Jane dress pattern includes an elastic waistline, and the Size 5 Confident Rose dress can be worn loose or with a self-fabric tie. The size 2T only requires 3 fat quarters, and the size 5, just five fat quarters! You might already have several of these sitting around ready to use…

Play Aprons for Imaginative Play — for Boys or Girls

Guess what?! There’s more — inspired by her children’s imaginative play, BrookeLynne has also designed a line of play aprons. These are children’s aprons that make it easy for them to dress up as their favorite characters. Some have attached capes or wings, and are so easy for children to wear over their regular play clothes and enjoy active role-playing!

These aprons would make great travel accessories too — a way to keep the kids entertained on a long layover… or something to introduce to the cousins at a family reunion! BrookeLynne will even custom-design an apron for you…or make a parent/child matching set. These make perfect gifts, too!

I’m giving away one of ImaginApron’s cutest dresses ($25.00 value) to one of my lucky readers! It’s a size 2T dress in a travel theme, decorated with the most delightful vintage trailers on it.
